Corner Afire
The legends of our lives
are aging with us
The forces that conspired
to shape us
Wither in light borne
from our minds
And this day is a page
with corner afire
Turning from here
to you there
Is costing clouds
of tomorrows
Slashing the budget
of serendipity
shrinking your next
possibility
to this point
of your famous
thing you do
to be you
