May 2019
The acidity rises and burns
Like so many daggers
My heart races and skips
With each tiny stab
It pulses through my body
Tingling my skin
My throat constricts
My mind slowly slips
My mouth can no longer speak
My body’s growing weak
I try to count
I try to calm down

One
Two
Three
Breathe

One

Two

Three

Breathe

It won’t last, it won’t last
