May 2019
I don't recall
But I know I was somewhere before this
Somewhere warm and bright
Alone or perhaps surrounded
I felt enveloped in contentment
Eyes closed but keenly aware
That time did not pass at all
Either forward or backward
A kind of active stasis
Waiting only a moment forever
I was at peace beyond measure
I knew neither hunger or want
Nor who or what I was
Only that soon I would awake
