My hands,
So thin and frail,
Shudder.

My mind,
So full of fury,
Shakes.

My heart,
So broken and lost,
Trembles.

Sharp claws,
Dripping with hate and anger,
Rip free from skin,
A whisper in the darkness.

Fanged teeth,
Promising pain and vengeance,
Spring free from gums,
A slither in the darkness.

Dark fur,
Roaring of a beast,
Grow free of pores,
A hiss in the darkness.

My hands clench,
My mind crumbles,
My heart thunders,
Because the darkness..is me.

At last,
After years of battling that shadow,
I have succumbed...
To that monster within.
