Time may take forever,
Absent of your smile,
Time may play over,
As you abscond and walk that mile,
My heart; it stops beating,
At the sound of your feet leaving,

This wine is not crisp and clear,
It’s stale, infused with my fear,
Intoxicating, I’m suffocating
Your absence leaves me drunk and aching,
Compelled to drink more,
For every step you take from my door
