Somewhere between heaven and earth my dear saviour died for me .
A loaf of bread ,
a cup of wine ,
yet there was no lamb on this table divine .
A cross of wood ,
three. Roman nails ,
Somewhere between this cup I drink ,
and the bread I have eaten lies Christ’s. Love for me.

I need it not ,
I need it so ,
My insolent heart lies as cold within the snow .

A curtain was torn before me ,
the sun as if darkness fell ,
a Roman soldier sank to his knees ,
a mother in sorrow weeps .
Yet somewhere between earth a heaven Satan was crushed with ease

Somewhere between earth and heaven a boat lies  out to sea,
It’s horizon is lost in time,
The stars above it shine ,
a child holds a small rugged cross of wood
It’s splinters lie deep inside his tiny hand .
This ship will drown ,
his mercy’s crowned ,
Somewhere between earth and heaven .
