A PRODIGAL SON
He didn’t know
what it meant
to be a
son until he
became a father
of a son
who doesn't know
how to be
a true son.
A son who
acts like a
stranger in his
own home and
not comfortable
in his own skin.
Prodigal son
regrettably.
Prideful and
stubbornness are
wrapped up in him.
Messed up with
drugs and alcohol
and women.
A thief and
a bisexual young
man so lost
in the wildernesses
of life.
Without help he
will be consumed.
An only son.
Always away
from home,
a hobo seeking
for something
he doesn't know
or understand.
He doesn't even
know that
the sun has
set for him.
Said he didn't
want to inherit
the ignorance
of the father,
because he doesn't
want to follow
a decent path
to earn a living.
Doesn't want to
be counselled
or educated in
the rudiments of life.
He seems to
forget that
a man cannot
have a son
before his father.
He wished the
son is smart
enough to see
how dumb he is.
Still loves him
so very much
but it breaks
his heart to
see what the
son is doing
to himself.
