Keeping it light
not because it might
be Wednesday
but
just in case.

light headed,
alcohol does that
to you
after a few.

Platform 13
sounds about right
after
a Rift Valley of a night

just kidding.

Jubilee once more
and I'm minding the
closing of the door,
doors!
missed that one
but it didn't miss me.

Branded coats.

Dewalt woman,
same old drill
lithium battery
what a thrill.

West Ham man
gets on with a pram
but
no baby
maybe
he left it in
Saudi.

Old man looking at me,
oh
it is me
reflected in the sea
of glass.

I guess we're all shrapnel
screaming for the hell of it,
it gets on my nerves a bit
but
I have
medication.

The next station
is
Canary Wharf
somewhere
on the
Isle of Dogs
where
moneyed men
play
at being gods.

not my stop.

Of course
this could all be an
elaborate scheme
designed as a dream
by
IKEA
and I could be just
another nut that needs
tightening.
