Without our consent we're taken from our calm world,
A slap, then a cry, and into this chaos we're hurled;
The ensuing bedlam is referred to as Life,
I wish I'd been forewarned of the misery and strife,
I'd have said "No thank you, I prefer to remain
An inconsequential atom in a calmer domain!"
