Back to this old chestnut again
the rain,
the train
and the pain of getting to my
place of employment.

Moving into gear in this year
of the Lord
feeling it's all deja vu
looking more than a bit
bored
and we're off.

Very quiet here
not many commuters.

I should coco
ha
on a loco.

'Pay a you go'
costs nothing
if
you don't go anywhere.
but
I'm going somewhere
using a weekly pass
which costs more.

Long legged lady
carrying a baby
next to the man
carrying a newspaper

headscarf chap
religion text in
his lap
busy mumbling
or praying,

( not judging, just saying)

How many
' mind the doors '
does it take
to break a man?

Even though the journey
takes longer
I arrive feeling much stronger
because
I always get a seat on
the
Jubilee Line.
