Today, I felt the pain whispering in
the shadows down inside my darkened
forest, tuneless beats and slashed singing
falling underneath sunken raindrops.
I could hear the blazed asteroids in the
distance, raged echoes and smoky screams,
a shivering death drifting into bruised
borders, as I embraced the backdrop
of cold crushed diction, colliding metaphors
and twirling twisters.
