Yesterday I went into a
hardware store in Westport
County Mayo Ireland to buy
a potato peeler which cost
three euros ninety nine centimes.

I enquired of the proprietor if
be it of a good quality, sturdy!

"Ah sure twill do as many as
four thousand before givin in "

Off home we went and only a
half dozen being skint, the shaft
snapped and t'was back to the knife!

In I went this morning with the two
pieces in an envelope. Would you be
lookin at dat, I said to him and no
sooner spoke came this witirish reply!

"Ah: but sure we're not meaning to
  be skinnin 4,000 in one day, now "
