Sadness is an illness
That never leaves the shore
It hurts like hell inside my soul
It hurts right to my core

The waters are now murky
And the storm is coming nigh
The waves are rough, I’m hanging on
From my throat emits a sigh

Sadness, grieving, letting go
I don’t know what to do
Letting go means I’m forgetting
And I want to remember you

My friend, my hero, my soulmate
You came,  you saw, you left
And now I’m sitting all alone
Mourning, crying, and bereft

If I could have one minute more
I know what I would do
I’d hold you tight, whisper in your ear
I love you, I love you..
