I'm
       drowning
            and
   you're standing
     three feet away
       screaming,
"learn how to swim,"

           It took
        letting go to
     realize that I was
         holding on
               to
           nothing.

          If I sit in
      the rain maybe
         I drown in
something other than
            my own
     thoughts of you.

         You told me
    you love the rain and
          now I never
     sleep during storms.
    not because I'm afraid,
             but because
       they remind me of
                 you.

             It's still you,
             It's still you.

In a house where the world is
dark, love always finds a way
         to create windows.
