Last night
I kicked
around
in my
head

listened
calm
to my
heart,

and then
in my
mind in

the tenderest

of places
I found
a picture
of you.

it set
the edge
to the
moon,

and stars
and all
of the
comets
streaking
across
the sky
on fire..

and in
the moments
between
heart beats
were the
ties that
bind us.

the half
wink
in your
eyes,

the look
that
moves
me.

like jelly
over
peanut
butter.

tasted
moist
from
your
lips

for the
very
first
time.

tonight.
