He ignores me every time I look his way,
sunken spaces and motionless vibes,
a sky of unmoving shadows lost in the
distance, disintegrating, floating on
chilled thoughts.

I can feel the jumbled diction hanging
in the air, sluggish consonants blown
off course, cracking, bladed, a silent
depth with no flight.

And as much as I try to get his attention,
he pulls further and further away from
my soul.Β Β The outer existence within his
canvas is cold and dark, while the inner
existence within me is dazed and wandering.
