JUST A DREAM
She lay quietly
submitted to the
warmth of my
body wrapped
so softly and
gently in my arms
feeling safe,
unperturbed by
the noise outside.
She lay asleep,
her breath so
soft on my cheek.
The flicker of
the moonlight reflects
on her face
as she lay
sleeping.
Her beauty as
if from another
sphere reminding me
the fairytale
of the mermaid.
She entangled her
leg around my
feet as if
she never wants
me to leave
her alone thereby
unwittingly forcing
me to lay
still until i
finally dozed off.
As I slept,
i dreamed of her.
I dreamt about us
playing in the garden
surrounded by beautiful
flowers and drinking
nectars from all
kinds of edible
flowers in honey water.
She looked into
my eyes to
make a toast
and as our
silver cup touched,
i woke up.
I woke up refreshed.
It was just a dream.
