DON'T HOLD ME TIGHT
Are you afraid
of losing me
or losing yourself
in your imagination.
Holding so tight
of the things
you claim to
love is obsession
and not love.
Free your spirit
to reclaim yourself.
To love is to
feel pain,
it is sometimes
painful.
It will even be
more painful if
you held on
so tight.
But love will
ease it of you.
You don't have
to suffer the pangs
of the bite of love
for i genuinely
love you.
But this love
brings you pain
when you
hold tight.
I can't breath
since you
won't let go.
Hold me gently,
i'm still yours.
Hold me
loosely and
you'll have
me forever.
No need to
suffocate what
you love by
holding so tight
or I die. .
Free me so
as to last.
Water me with
words of love
to sprout,
not to wither.
The love in
my heart is
just for you.
Respect and care,
is all I need.
I'm not a
toy or a piece
of possession.
Neither am i
a rubber stamp
you pick up
anytime you want
to stamp your
heart when
you need me.
I'm still yours
even in my
freedom.
What is the
essence of my
imprisonment in
your heart,
i'm not a
caged animal
but a soul
willing to share
my heart and
my love,
my life and
my essence with you.
But set me free
so I can be
like the butterfly
looking for flowers
to drink on
the nectar,
hovering around
you with
tremendous gladness.
