Good Ol' Day
Don't speak until spoken too.
Never interupt grown ups when they are talking.
Say Yes sir and Yes m'am to adults.
Oh, yes.
The good ol' days.
My, how things has changed?
Respect wasn't a one culture thing.
Neither was spanking.
Which we find many parents doing today.
Amongst those minorities of complaints.
Where you hear parents on the defense?
These are mine.
You raise yours your way.
I raise mine my way.
Oh yes.
The good ol' days.
My how things has changed
When kids assist the elderly.
And didn't exppect any type change.
Where the elderly looked out for children?
And told the parents about disrespect.
And the child learned the way mom or dad would handle it.
Yes, these things was taught in the good ol' days.
Saying, to a parent I'll call the cops.
Was challenging to be afraid.
Well, we know that threat then didn't mean a thing.
They gave you the phone.
The parents was the visionary of the home.
But then the fools came along.
And took discipline too far.
We know them.
They mainly end up behind bars.
Next to the robbers, burgulars and car jackers of cars.
The places your parent has never been.
Because they learned to apply the rules.
