Dec 2018
my energy surpasses the required limit
i see the line and i jump
when i look back i expect people to be right behind me
what i see is vacant stares
i shake my head and think to myself "I'm alive!"
i'm alive until i'm dead

i'll dance and look at you with a vacant glance
because that is what you deserve
i'll breathe that heavy breath
that breath that you wish to breathe
at 10pm
the party hasn't even STARTED

i'm in the wrong place
i need to find the forest that accepts strangers
who love the vines and the twisted roots
and the organic soil rich with nutrients
blinding glitter in the sand
singing under my feet

as i walk
