To the end

of the rainbow

and back,

skipping fast

heart racing

with the moon

over the hills

and back again.

yelling at

the ice

cream man

in the
middle
of the street

"stop ! "

staying out

way past dinner,

holding on

to 10 years

old as long

as weΒ Β can.

wondering

where in the

world you are.

wondering why

weren't you

in my life

back then.

I wonder

if my dreams

ever

touch your

dreams ,

if my thoughts

ever play hide

and go seek

in the dark

with yours.

I hope

they do.

I hope they

always will.

I know

in the

third grade,

we would

of been

the best

of friends.
