I could unlock the door
But would I be safe....
I could open my heart
But would I bleed.....
They pledge their love to me
But the glass is foggy
It's hard to see
How can I go in walking blind
To scared to say that I just might care
To sad to think I might not be there
I just want to trust
But to trust you must be whole
Tortured by demons of a frightful past
My first move could be the last
Every step so unsure
Unstable grounds
The air so thick all around
I might crumble beneath the weight
To let them in
I'll need the key
To let them in
I must see
