I gave you a gift.
Nicely wrapped up with a bow.
You slowly unwrapped it.
And amazed and shocked that it was empty.
But was it?
The phase it's the thought that counts.
Then it's counting now.
Cause as much as the package was empty in your eyes.
It wasn't in mine

For, what you failed to see unwrapping it.
Was the word love.
And this, what was within the gift?

Sure, if I gave you a car.
You would be delighted.
If I gave you a diamond ring.
You would be excited.
Cause they are material things.

Except, with this gift.
You must be willing to be unselfish to see it.
Cause it's a genuine gift.
That can't be purchase.
But can be returned.

If you overlooked my present.
Then you would be losing you.
All because you fail to see exactly, what it was about?
When I gave you love.
When I gave you a gift.
