Prisoner of My Past
Hard to let go.
Others remind you of things that are old.
Hard to forget.
All the mistakes you ever made.
I guess I'm a prisoner of my past.
That seems to come rushing back so fast.
I feel that I'm in a cage.
Enclosed by four walls.
Nothing to do but reflect back.
I guess I am a prisoner of my past.
But if only given a fair chance.
Many will see this change.
While I can't impress everyone.
I do believe I can find love.
