As I look at myself.
I am proud of myself.
As I constantly look back.
I owe my father much honor and much respect.

And as I look at my own kids.
I am truly highly proud of all of them.
I sometimes inquire about can I measure up to my dad.

In my eyes, he just was a great man.
Might not be perfect to others.
But always perfect to me.

He raised me in ways I can't thank him enough.
He loved me in ways that you knew you were.
Can I measure up to him?
To be even close to the man he was.

I knew by his discipline I was loved.
