Faking a smile
While on the inside
You're upside down
In denial
               Thinking about
                       Your name
And how it ended up
                         Pained
      Inside out

In the wild

How much longer
Will fake hold out
Before we see the truth
About what we know now

It really isn't a smile at all

             Your eyes don't lie
   For they have no mouth
But they told me to read their lips
                              Upon each brow
Under each side
On the outside
                           I peer out
Into your skin
Behind your cheeks
I found the real smile

                      But it's gone now

Faking a smile
Is much easier
Than letting the whole world know
Your trials
Your self killing
Behind the heart willing
Hangs on a ropes doubt

No one will ever know
                 Or figure out

As long as you can fake
             Each of the days
            Your mind allows

You can smile
