looking back over my poems
and seeing mistakes i've made in them

but my mind had been gone for awhile
and i'm honestly surprised to see how many times
i added in words that weren't supposed to be there
i didn't even realize
which shows my mind keeps running off
and it's not staying in the place it needs to be
this is what my pain does to me
