Get good grades in school
So you can buy a house with a pool
Says teachers and parents
Like that's all that matters
Money and patents
But lets step back
My patience is about to scatter
There are millions around the globe
Enslaved, starving and hurting
Shootings more common then ever
But we're told
Forget about all that it probably won't happen to you
So live for yourself, go for the gold
Because this life is yours so live it to the fullest
Yes I do well in school
Not for the grades and money
But so I can one day give those less fortunate then me
Don't get me wrong I'm thankful for my education
But from whom much is given much is required
Our generation can be different
Instead of being greedy for money and power
Why don't we be the change in the lives of the sour
This world is in need of love
Be the change
Set captives free
Fight for what's right
We can be the change
