Neural Bridges
Sickened
In the bones,
Aching,
And sore.
Crying
Uncontrollably,
Asking,
"What for?"
Laughing
Without
End,
At other times.
Fled
From the rush,
Attempting
To overcome it.
In the beginning,
Dopamine
And Oxytocin
Lined a glass ledge
Like Sugar and Salt.
Naturally produced,
Lost
Clear sight.
Shortly later,
Norepinephrine
Drenched
And dried
On the string
Of a kite,
Then took
Flight.
