I never gave anything more of me
I never tried so hard to fix something
But like quicksand, the more I fought
for this the more you consumed me
Swallowing me like an ice cold glass
of water in the desert

I woke up before you did,
Left without saying goodbye again
I've got to wash your scent off my skin

Sleeping in the bed we used to share
Was like lying in my own coffin, dead awake
I closed my eyes and let darkness take me
Take me anywhere...

I never fell for anything or anyone
I never really hit any walls but
I crashed into you like a wave
breaking against the shore
I am salty and cold in your mouth
and you are dry and hard
against my skin

I woke up before you did,
Left without saying goodbye again
I've got to wash your scent off my skin

Sleeping in the bed we used to share
Was like lying in my own coffin, dead awake
I closed my eyes and let darkness take me
Take me anywhere...

Do you think they notice?
That you and I are like magnets
I feel you pulling me in and
it's a force that I can't resist
It's what we are

Sleeping in the bed we used to share
Was like lying in my own coffin, dead awake
I closed my eyes and let darkness take me
Take me anywhere...
