Surface-
Smooth, Nonporous
Doesn’t breathe,
Like you-
Like me.

If it did,
Please forgive me
As it would take
In the air
To discover
Thoughts
Only meant
To remain
Here.

You keep building,
While I break down
To enter
A new
Phase,
The best one,
Yet.

Feet enter
A new door,
Revolving
And uplifting-
It’s like
A
New Dimension,
To see.
As if it’s
All
Falling
Into
Place
Like
It’s meant to
Be.

Looking
Out
And
Over,
Up,
And under—
To discover,
A New
Day.

It hasn’t been
Easy,
Never will
Be,
But the past,
Is Now
But
A Memory.
