When I become a mom
I hope to teach my child the power of love
and the importance of kindness
I hope they’ll trust me enough
to show me their beast
and know I will always welcome them
with arms wide open
loving them with my whole heart

I want to be a role model
A mother that uplifts their child
but also knows when to draw the line
I hope to be the calm in their chaos
and a safe place when they struggle
I want to be an inspiration
and their best friend

When I become a mom
I want to follow YOUR example
wishing for my child to love me as I did you
because when I think of what kind of mom I’ll be
