I know ma,
I don’t tell you ever,
How much I care,
I feel shy, sometimes scared,
If I could live up to you,
Wishing to undo those times,
When I hurt you,

You feel I refuse to grow up,
It’s because I wish not to,
Growing up would mean,
I would be independent,
Doing things for myself,
But I don’t know,
What I would do,
What I would be,
Without you

That’s why I have you wake me up,
Every day, in the morning,
Your face is the first I see,
The times you chide me,
For little things,
I know it’s alright,
Because you’re caring for me,
And I know I’m your child,
And I always will be
