My poems are quite simple
I admit that it's true
But it doesn't have to be complicated
For my message to get through

I write about what I see and feel
Almost every day
I try to find the words
To express what I want to say

I like the flowing rhythm
Of the words that rhyme
It's like a sweet melody
I hear it every time

So even though they're simple
I want to make it clear
All the poems I write
Come from my heart and are sincere
