Live and Learn
I hear Death's bells
and they play a tune
that sounds so familiar
even though I know
I've never heard it
before.
In a sense, it's me
that they're ringing for.
Death is coming,
but not for my life.
He will eat my past
and so it shall vanish.
I will beg Death
to devour me also,
but he will refuse,
and I will learn
why.
