A grazed knee, A sprained ankle, Were not the situations that our young selves could handle
As we grew, These incidences were few, But rather than physical, we were subject to exhibit emotional pain, It wasn't a drizzle, but rather an aching storm, crashing droplets of rain
We couldn't wait to grow up and be adults, As if it were a perk filled cult, But the realization hit us, once we did We could never be children again, that car had already skid, down the wet, hilly road
But the pain made us stronger, made us more, Unstoppable in nature, so we could roar and soar Life taught me, to withstand all the pain that i could possisbly experience, So much so, that pain now was my deliriant.
