The nation’s School Safety Commission
Won’t look at guns
It’s enough to give a regular person
The runs
When you look at the damage
That guns have done
It has to make you wonder
Are they just having fun

Children are dying in schools
Every other day
And it usually comes
From an AKA
That a student is carrying
To blow fellow students away
But no one wants to mention
The gun laws or the NRA

A kid asked
The press secretary
What’s the administration
Gonna do
“Honestly kid
I’d tell ya if I knew.”
Should have been the answer
Cuz it would have been true

Why study a problem,
But not the root cause?
Shouldn’t that give us
Reason to pause
Are they really serious
Or they never was
Don’t judge ‘em by what he says
Judge him by what he does
