May 2018
I don't want to be this way,
that's all I know
but it's who I am.
I guess I'll have to settle,
because i'm all I have.
Telling myself lies,
With a smile as a disguise
caught between the truth and more lies
As long as the words sound right.
It becomes another seamless part of this narrative.
I've become so convincing in the role of myself,
I'm starting to believe it's actually me.
Left with The National and a Computer. Just lost in my thoughts of the day.
