Silence your thoughts,
You should be seen, not heard,
Two steps behind the man you walk
You are not allowed to speak
For you are nothing but property
And can be easily replaced.

False propaganda pints us against one another
You are not a sister,
You are competition,
You are not my mother,
You are the crazed woman my father warned me against
You are not friend
But foe,

But what am I to do with these unspoken words
Unshared thoughts,
Unshed tears,
I can recite you my pain
But find myself unable to recite my happiness,
For who would listen to the babbles of a woman?

On the ledge of sanity
Borderline insanity,
Sinking in the pool called society,
She is no longer sure of her name
Or of her true purpose.
