Springboard
With each blade
Shoved into the flesh of my back
I am more flexible
In my breakage.
My skin feels hot to the touch
As the fire beneath burns closer to the surface
Than ever before.
I push myself.
To stand.
To walk.
To do anything,
Just move, ******
You knock me down.
I do not get back up.
