Whenever we're consumed with doubt,
and hide from woeful sins;
A golden door appears in sight,
and carefully we walk in.

We take our time and look around,
to see if it's all real;
But things aren't often what they seem,
as ghostly scenes reveal.

We're stunned by emptiness of space,
so cavernous and unadorned;
And disappointment sears our hearts,
feeling used and roughly scorned.

Perhaps life wasn't all that tough,
when we watched our days grow wild;
While taking steps to make things right,
with the innocence of a child.

Awakened now from daydream's world,
the sunlight shines on high;
And smiling with a sense of peace,
we touch the azure sky !
