the mask of alertness protects its bearer
as unstable strength topples before lightning
moist apples are ripening on the branch
i see their sweet nectar standing up
the streets we drive upon carve up the earth
i frequently eat the meat of the gods
homosapiens are blessed with ancient scars
your grasshoppers follow in the path of the stars
hopping from stem to stem like cinnamon darts
