I always knew that somehow
I would get by
but sometimes I had to cry about
the things I did and the things
that I should have done and
if I had then maybe
I could have won.  

Was it just about the money
and if that is all it was
then I find that really funny
because money isn't really
all that it takes to have a life
that is sunny.

Maybe it is about the love
that you give
and the love that you recieve
and how much you really believe
in yourself and what you really are
and not what others
think you are.

Don't find it necessary
to pretend to be a star
and try to accept who
and what you really are
and then you really
can be a star.

Follow the road
that you have chosen to follow
and if you are real this
will help you to seal the deal
and you won't have to steal
and realize that if you don't have
a chosen path not  just any road
will get you there.

If my words don't make sense
then just get off of your fence
and do what is right
and then you may live to see
another day and night
and then maybe you will see
what life is really about
and maybe then you
