when people ask
"aren't you scared?"

i just smile at them
because deep inside my core i know i am
i'm terrified of failure
and i have been exposed to it during my youth

i don't know what will happen if i try
but i do know nothing will happen if i don't

so i as i smile
i tell them
"i am scared.
i am terrified.
but i'll do it anyways"
