I spoke about her like the dictionary needed to know her name
So much so
That people teased,
You sure like her
I would get to blushing and stammering
We are just good friends
Who hang out all the time
And talk into the night when the sun refuses to shine
But I’m happy with where we are
Then she said she was going back to school
I hoped that it would not affect our friendship
Friendship?
Is a friendship so vital as to be affected by this.
I hoped not.
Maybe this friendship is more than I thought
And I need to think about what to do next.
But I hope you do well in school
Because I would hate for you to be disappointed.
