Feb 2018
I went down to  mossy side where the banks are green
Filled my heart with longing and cast it in the stream
I looked at the gold fishes  swooning in the winter sun
Unbuttoned my coat and gave it to a swan
My shoes were too heavy so I lent them to a boy
I'll take them for you Miss wrap them in tin- foil.
I needed some wings so reached up to the sky
Someone dropped a pair now I can fly
Remember me in Springtime when the flowers bloom
The rest of the time have a good afternoon.

Love Mary **
