Our love was a supernova that burned us both
So bright in its intensity we forgot ourselves
And gave ourselves to each other
I found me in you and you found you in me
No matter the distance, it always felt like we had each other
An unbreakable bond
Little did we realize they were shackles
Holding us down
But we were in love
Blind to the obvious
Making up excuses for the cracks in our lies
Arguing, all bark with no bite
It's funny how we couldn't stand to be apart
But now we can't stand to not be apart
All the words we told each other were sweet nothings
Designed to keep us enslaved to each other
Drunk on the bliss
High on the lies
Addicted to the arguments
Yes truly
Our love was a supernova that burned us both
