What if we ran away
Followed our gaze;
Never closed our eyes.
I never said good-bye.
I never said good-bye.

Broken roads and new beginnings,
Back on top, an old position.
Wishes tied to poisoned stitches
Mind's a sink of ***** dishes.

Foot on the gas and head on the ground;
I'm second guessing all i've found.
If you were here i'd tell you to be better.
If she was me i'd never left her.

What if we ran away
Followed our gaze;
Never closed our eyes.
I never said good-bye.
I never said good-bye.

Staples hold down drying clothes.
Clothes pins boil on the stove.
Chores undone but my bags are packed;
No good-byes, no looking back.

What if we ran away
Followed our gaze;
Never closed our eyes.
I never said good-bye.
I never said good-bye.
