I am who I am
I wasn’t born to be someone else
No I am not trying to boost
I am the individual I am supposed to be
My time is now
Understanding comes with identification of contrast
Conviction comes with enduring truth
Honesty having integrity
Yet seeing the true reality
If a man doesn’t stand for what’s right
Then what is the purpose to stand?
Teachings come far and continue beyond
But has one learned to grasp the inspiration to venture on
Where there is strength is preparation for the battle
It means solidity in the saddle
I was meant to be the person you see
I am the assurance being the image that should be
My emotions have settled
My cries have ceased
No time to look back but move forward towards the sunrise
Yes it’s a new day
I lived to see tomorrow
There were times I experienced sorrow
But through the pain I didn’t let negativity reign
My open heart with a true voice is what remained
Carry on I taught you well
I stand being the example and inspiration in my own right
Honor me not, but applaud being the Lord
It was all through his accord
I stand as a man
My vision throughout the horizon spreads throughout the land
This is not a command
I have been given a chance of life
No one can change that
I stand as a witness with a testimony
Embark and embrace
Think for a moment, but only for that moment
I did, I can and I shall
Accomplishment has been established
Your reason to be involved
Commotion having a resolve
Let no one say you have failed
You only failed if there was no movement on your part
