Ever westward
Beyond hills and seas
Through vast forests
Of towering trees

Across great oceans
Yawning and deep
To northern coasts
Where cold waves sweep

Through storming tropics
And island chains
To the waving grasses
Of sun soaked plains

Over colossal mountains
Snow laden and grand
Until thus returned
To the shimmering sands

And when this journey
Is finally complete
With aching back
And calloused feet

Can all then rest
under a brave new sky
Where men no longer
Must one day die
